ABOUT ME
After more than a decade as a stay-at-home parent, in January of 2022 I decided to take a chance on myself and enrolled in an introductory science course at Des Moines Area Community College. Little did I know the opportunity for growth in store for me.
As a life-long learner, I discovered my love for science and through my time at DMACC interest has only expanded. I also came to realize my leadership abilities during this time through my involvement in the Honors Program and Phi Theta Kappa.
As I prepare to complete my time studying at DMACC, I look forward to the newly opened doors of opportunity in the biotechnology field. After completing my Associates in Science and my Biotechnology Laboratory Certificate I hope to enter the workforce in the field and continue my education through hands-on learning.
